Why I like DDO? Well, I’ve been playing DnD since my childhood with the red box basic set of DnD, for one. Not to mention the game is done well enough. Community seems nice.

I’ve played D&D and other roleplaying games since i was a child. I look for a story that can draw me in. DDO has this, and it does not feel like a chore to play the way some MMORPGs do. And I like the interface, the GUI, plain and simple.

  3. Favourite Quest: Not really sure, Terentius is my first character and he’s only lvl5, so I haven’t seen that much.
Why I like DDO: In comparison to other MMOs, the quests by far. Hooray for actual story!

One thing I have to point out, your system for choosing winners is somewhat flawed since everyone is going to wait for everyone else to post 2-4 and 6-9 then try and post on 5 and 10. Stuff like that only works with large volumes of people at the same time (where you can’t post to a specific number accurately). I’d suggest taking the first 10 or 20 people to post and then randomly selecting 3.

Why I like DDO - the game.
It has a great balance of creation and twitch. There are a wide (though could still be wider) selection of TYPES of quests, classes, and builds. The creativity of people and their builds make for a unique game. Not many games can you purposefully create a character that cannot actually work! And yet there are lots of builds that don’t seem to be viable on paper but in play are not only workable but enjoyable as well.

  5. FAVORITE QUEST:Waterworks

I started playing D&D pnp in the early 80s up till the mid 90s and since then I always wished I could get back into it. Theres just not alot of people into it where I am and its hrd to find a reliable group to play with. I found DDO and really like it. The combat system is really well done and the community is alot better than most other MMos I’ve played. EverQuest was the 1st MMO I got into and played it for 6+ years. Then Warcraft which I played up until 4 days ago when I downloaded DDO:)
1 thing i guess I like most about DDO is finding a good group. They seems to stick together for hours instead of just doing 1 dungeon and going there seperate ways.
My group tonight had never played together before and were together for about 4 hours doing quests that none of us had ever done like Cerulian Hills and The Captives.Everyone seems to be alot more helpful to new players than in other MMOs also. Thats always a + cause we were all newbies at 1 time or another:)

  6. Hello, i start playing DDO last week and choose this game because i like the online mode, RPG genre and all the content that its about DD. So far i like this game very much but iam really wainting for get favor and unlock the Warforged! That will be my main character. Till there,i will playing with a Barbarian called Xupacabra :)
    Happy journeys!

  7. Am I too late? Ah, well. I am Mattarias, a sorcerer new to both Khyber and DDO. My favorite dungeon so far is the gambler’s den, but that may be changing soon! :)

My favorite thing about DDO is definitely the puzzles. All the content in WoW’s got NOTHING on what I’ve seen in a few days on DDO. It’s awesome.

  8. Zorminster is a wizard that makes the teenage mutant ninja turles envious… they pale in comparison to his shiny green warforged body, he leaps farther, runs faster, AND he can throw fireballs. I like DDO because it’s a great way to kill time between actual table-top sessions and has given me more than a few (potentially fatal for the group) ideas for my own campaign.

  9. * Your in game name.
    Jonar
    * Favorite quest/etc in the game
Just starting out but I enjoyed the puzzle quest (The Storehouse Secret)
    * Why you like DDO.
The “free” game with micro-transactions is much better than a demo or a “free” weekend. It allows you to play at your own pace. If you don’t like it enough you can leave without investing more than the time it took to figure out that you didn’t like it.

  10. Hello, my character’s name is Lorathir, the drow sorcerer. I just joined this month and so far my favorite thing to do is shoot icy rays at enemies and listen to them shatter. My favorite quest is probably the one with the huge fire giant at the end, was a very epic feeling fight!

    Umm I guess that’s all, I also play 4E D&D as a Warlord.

  11. Aww, I’m already too late! Still, I have had fun with DDO so far. I also enjoyed the puzzle in the storehouse, although I wished that they had harder puzzles for harder difficulty levels. Haven’t gotten too far past that though, but it’s fun and definitely worth free!

  12. I like DDO going F2P. Paying for items as needed provides more casual environment.

  13. Character name: Verily

I picked up the game shortly before it went F2P, was guided to Khyber, and it’s the only server I’ve played on since. I enjoy the population and atmosphere, and moreso, adore the ‘type’ of questing available only in DDO. I and a couple of friends have been running a static party of sorts to experience everything in the game together new, as a group, and it’s been an amazing amount of fun.

  14. Favorite Quest: The one where they caper the crap out of the Computer Flanges.

    Why DDO: Because 4.0 SUCKS!

I would just like to say… ASSHAT!
